Many eons ago, and for a very long time, feminine energy was the dominant energy. Eventually, masculine energy took over, and we have been experiencing that imbalance and its influence for thousands of years.
Now, the two energies are being brought together and blended until they are balanced and equal. Understanding the differences between the two energies will help us to integrate both within us and in our relationships as well.
We came to this planet with an assigned gender, but with varying degrees of masculine and feminine energy. The predominant consciousness is that the physical male gender has masculine energy with a small amount of feminine energy, and the physical female gender has feminine energy with a small amount of masculine energy.
The left side of the brain is where masculine energy resides. It is the part of us that is assertive, logical, analytical, doing, controlling, striving, projecting, hard, organizing, rushing, thrusting, always pushing us to survive, and has its origin in our minds.
The right side of the brain is feminine or that which is creative, intuitive, receptive, tender, surrendering, synthesizing, integrating, soft, feeling, and the part of us that “knows” without explanation. It connects deep into the heart.
Masculine and feminine energies are best symbolized by the vesica piscis.
The Vesica Piscis is the intersection of two congruent disks, each centered on the perimeter of the other. This mathematical shape is also found as a symbol used in ancient and current religions, art and architecture throughout the world.
The overlap in the middle is a place of similarities and understandings, but the area outside of the overlap is often where there are misunderstandings between each of the energies. The energies furthest away from the center must come to a place of observation so that an understanding and an allowing between the two opposites can take place. This will create more love and compassion, allowing each energy to be more true to itself.
Balancing the male-female energies within will help us relax into the knowingness of who we are. One is not better than the other, but they must find balance. Not only for dealing with others but also for finding the balance of masculine and feminine energies within ourselves.
The emerging feminine energy coming into our consciousness also reminds us that our Source is neither male nor female. Rather, the Universe is a combination of both feminine and masculine energies.
